Production Designer Eve McCarney thrives on delving into character to create layered, compelling environments that enhance the narrative and engage the viewer. Eve’s television credits include Amazon's The Bondsman, season 1, produced by Erik Oleson and Blumhouse Television, FX's American Horror Stories (seasons 1 & 2), produced by Ryan Murphy and 20th Television, and Hulu’s Into the Dark (season 2), produced by Jason Blum, Scott Derrickson, Nick Antosca and Blumhouse Television. Eve also has experience working in independent films, including Hulu's Original Comedy Prom Dates produced by Hartbeat Entertainment, A24’s period western The Ballad of Lefty Brown, Lionsgate's Blood Father, Netflix's Message from the King, and the award-winning period sci-fi thriller Laboratory Conditions.

 

Eve’s love of art history, fine art, and architecture is evident in her approach to each project. Her research skills and keen eye aid her in cultivating a comprehensive design process that encompasses the story while focusing on character enhancement. Being a hands-on designer adds depth and imagination to her work, while her fierce determination helps her keep up with stringent production deadlines. Her experience spans multiple genres, including science fiction, drama, horror, comedy, and period pieces.

Eve is a member of the Television Academy of Arts and Sciences, the Art Directors Guild, and the Production Designers’ Collective, and has experience working in New York, Georgia, Louisiana, New Mexico, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Montana, and California.
