Production Designer Eve McCarney thrives on delving into character to create layered realistic environments that enhance the narrative and engage the viewer. She just wrapped Season 1 of Ryan Murphy's new anthology series American Horror Stories for F/X on Hulu. Other series work includes Season 2 of Hulu’s anthology series Into the Dark produced by Blumhouse Television, Seasons 1 & 2 of the Liza Koshy-led Liza On Demand for YouTube Originals as well as Season 1 of Alive In Denver for Fullscreen.
Film design standouts include A24's period western and critical darling The Ballad of Lefty Brown, Multiple Award Winning Sci-fi Thriller Laboratory Conditions which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival 2018, 1970's period biopic Street Survivors, and Open Road’s Science Fiction thriller The Tank.
Prior to designing, Eve art directed several inspired projects including, Netflix's Message from the King starring and produced by Chadwick Boseman, Lowriders for Universal Pictures and Imagine Entertainment, The Keeping Hours for Universal Pictures; and CBS Studio's Ghost Whisperer: The Other Side IV.
Eve earned her Media & Film degree from Villanova University with a minor in Art History. Her early work experience in New York City as a graphic artist for a daily newspaper and later art directing at an award-winning advertising agency aided her later transition into filmmaking. She loves to travel for work and has experience shooting in California, New York, Montana, Ohio, Pennsylvania & Louisiana. Eve is a proud member of the Art Director’s Guild and The Production Designers Collective.
